Differential Service

Wondering what a differential does? Differentials have three jobs:

The differential for front-wheel drive cars is often called a transaxle and is located in the front. Rear-wheel drive vehicles have a rear differential and four-wheel drive vehicles have differentials in the front and the back – and in the middle as well. So no matter what type of vehicle you drive, it is bound to have at least one differential.

In order for differentials to work properly, they need to be properly lubricated. Over time, however, high operating temperatures can cause differential fluid to break down and provide insufficient lubrication to the gears. By replacing the differential fluid regularly, you can prevent unnecessary wear on the gears and extend the life of your vehicle.

Oilstop will remove the old differential fluid and replace it with new lubricating fluid based on your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
