SUPPORTING ALAMEDA
The Friends of the Parks Foundation exists to preserve and enhance Alameda’s open spaces and recreational areas for the enjoyment of all Alamedans. It is a non-profit organization, form 509 (a)(2), overseen by community volunteers. Its role it to raise and allocate money to park projects that would otherwise go unfunded or significantly under-funded. In recent years, these projects have included...

• Restoration of the Jackson Park bandstand
• Resurfacing of Washington Park tennis courts
• Design and construction park signs
• Maintenance equipment for upkeep of sports fields

Thank you for your interest in our projects. By learning more about our organization, we hope you are inspired to help us improve and preserve Alameda’s parks.
