Over the years, Friends of the Parks Foundation has worked in cooperation with the City of Alameda’s Recreation and Parks Department to identify projects worthy of support. In other cases, individuals from the community have come directly to the foundation to present their concepts for ways to improve our parks. While Friends of the Parks is rarely able to fund the entire project, it often serves as critically needed contributor and conduit for charitable donations. |
Projects eligible for consideration must meet the following criteria:
• Deemed to be in the interests of the community as a whole
• No obvious and immediate source of alternative funding
• A public project, with no private interest or profit motive
If you have a project worth consideration, please contact us.
